The Approach
Bridging Rehab
& Performance
Dr. Meghan holds the rare combination of a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential — bridging the gap between rehabilitation and performance training that most clinicians can't cross.
As a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), she is among the top 5% of physical therapists in the U.S. who have met the rigorous 2,000-hour clinical standard and passed a comprehensive board examination. This means your care isn't guesswork — it's grounded in the highest evidence-based clinical standard available.
Her holistic approach combines manual therapy techniques, corrective exercises, dry needling, and patient education to address not just symptoms, but the root cause of pain and dysfunction — keeping athletes performing at their best for longer.
What We Offer
Athletic Performance Services
Orthopedic Assessment
Board-certified differential diagnosis using advanced orthopedic examination techniques to identify the root cause of pain and dysfunction — not just the symptoms.
Manual Therapy
Certified manual techniques including joint mobilization, manipulation, and myofascial release to restore joint mechanics, reduce pain, and improve range of motion.
Dry Needling
State board-approved trigger point dry needling to release muscle tension, reduce pain, and restore neuromuscular function — particularly effective for athletic overuse and injury patterns.
Strength & Conditioning
CSCS-designed performance programs that enhance athletic output while minimizing injury risk — sport-specific testing, program design, and functional rehabilitation in one.
Concussion Recovery
As a Certified Vestibular Concussion Specialist (VCS), Dr. Meghan provides a structured, safe return-to-play pathway prioritizing balance, neurological health, and cognitive readiness.
Movement Analysis
Human Movement Specialist assessment using evidence-based corrective strategies to identify and address movement impairments — so athletes can perform without compensation patterns.
Dry Needling
Targeted Relief
at the Source
Dry needling is a Western medicine technique — distinct from acupuncture — where fine needles are precisely inserted into trigger points in tight or knotted muscles. When the needle reaches the trigger point, the muscle releases, blood flow improves, and the body's natural healing process activates.
For athletes, this is particularly effective for overuse injuries, chronic tightness, and muscular pain that hasn't responded to stretching or massage alone. Most people feel a brief muscle twitch — a sign the trigger point has been reached — followed by rapid relief of tension.
Dr. Meghan is board-approved by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy, having completed the required coursework and competency assessment through a state-approved provider.
CSCS Credential
The Gold Standard in
Athletic Training
The Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) designation from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is the most respected credential in athletic performance. It requires advanced knowledge of exercise science, sport-specific program design, nutrition, and injury prevention — and passing a rigorous national examination. A 2021 study found that 94% of physical therapists who earned a CSCS reported it led to better patient care. For athletes treated by Dr. Meghan, it means your recovery program and performance training are designed with the same level of scientific rigor.
